All Must Be for Jesus

You can sell everything you own, move yourself/your entire family across the world, start an organization that helps thousands and thousands of people, raise hundreds of thousands of dollars, have everyone and their grandmother support you and all the church/business/internet peeps telling everyone they know about your organization but if Jesus isn’t in it, you have done nothing. The work we do HAS to be an overflow of our faith. It can’t be done so this one says, “Look what these people gave up to go help the poor.” You can do NOTHING without Christ. When you chase after recognition for yourself from the world, you stop making a difference in His kingdom. It’s not about us. We’re only here for Him. We’re. Only. Breathing. Because. He. Allows. It. If you’re not leading people to Jesus with what you’re doing, what you’re doing is worthless.

Lord, stir our hearts to serve You when we’re tired. Humble our hearts so that we put ourselves on the altar for You to use. Not just the parts of ourselves that are left over from the rest of the business of this world, but all of us. Create in us a firestorm for Your glory. Help us not to constantly long to do Your will but to align our lives with the will You already have for us. We. Are. Ready.

Why we are here…

We are Christian. Our motivation for what we do is firmly rooted in Scripture. We consider it a privilege to be called to serve others. Our model in our mission is Jesus Christ Himself; in His ministry of compassion, He healed, fed, empowered the poor and ultimately gave His life so that everyone might enjoy the abundant life. We are committed to excellence. We strive to provide our best in everything, utilizing the known best practices in the field of health and international development. We welcome innovations, continuously applying state of the art solutions to improve health and reduce poverty. We continuously improve the way we run our programs and deliver services. We aspire to be leaders in our chosen core competencies. We are transparent. We are honest in our dealings, trustworthy in our commitments and truthful in our words. We pursue quality relationships that reflect our values. We honor the intent of our donors. We evaluate our work, are open to feedback and seek the best outcomes to challenging situations. This website is the online home of Jesus Is Lord Ministries.

We are located in Wairaka Village, Kakira Sub County, Jinja District in Uganda. We are 7km away from Jinja town, near the shores of Lake Victoria Iganga High.

Jesus is Lord Ministries is a faith-based organization, reaching across all the denominations and mainstream religions. Our ministry is motivated by Christ’s message of love to the children, “Let the children come to me.”

The vision of Jesus Is Lord Ministries is to embrace needy widows and and orphaned children, caring for them and meeting their needs from basic living to their spiritual needs, and to sustainably enrich, support and equip the vulnerable orphans with knowledge, skills and attitude to realize and use their own potentials for their better welfare and that of their communities.

We work, with the help of local churches, donors, sponsors, and volunteers, to restore hope to the AIDS orphaned, vulnerable, homeless orphans and widows who are being left to struggle in the district of Jinja and in Ugandan communities at large.

Why Should You Help to Support the Suffering Widows and Orphans of Uganda?

We understand that as an individual or the member of an organization you are asked frequently to give money. We know that it is important for you that your money is used wisely and effectively. Some of the main strengths of our projects is that there is no waste and very little loss of resources, and you can see clearly the result of your donations. We act directly on the ground with volunteers or paid workers, we don’t have to go through bribes, political contributions or anything else. Our operations are modest and low-key. (We are not one of those organizations using brand new $40,000 four-wheel drive vehicles or staying in fancy hotels with swimming pools, or buying ultimate technology equipment.) A financial contribution from you can make a huge difference directly into someone’s life, with results that you can see as the help is in process. You can help to relieve one of the major burdens on the shoulder of Africans. Helping AIDS orphans and widows to access better health care, nutritious food and formal and vocational education is one of the most concrete things we can do in showing them Christ and in lifting them out of poverty and thus giving them a chance at a good life.
