JESUS IS LORD MINISTRIES UGANDA

When we finished the building of Florence Bengo’s house 13th April 2013, we took a brief tour in the village; we did not know that God was leading us to help another widow who urgently needs help!

God led us to this widow called Rachael Nabiry who is blind of 86 years, she is staying with two of her daughters children who died of AIDS and they are the ones who are now taking care of her which has made these children not to get a chance of going to school. The whole house needs to be renovated, the roof links when it rains which causes them not sleep some times when it rains at night. We need your support to help Rachael and we can do it with your support.

This is the picture of her full house which she sleeps in with those two kids. The iron sheets of the roof are all very old and they leak when it rains. The whole roof needs to be removed and then replace a new one and that is what we need to do for her – if you can help us to do it.

Easter Blessings!

Hello,

Be blessed this Easter!!!

The following article highlights what flows from Jesus’ resurrection power as we continue to seek to fulfill the Great Commission.

Transformation: The Purpose of the Great Commission

The Apostle Paul exhorted the people at Rome to ‘be transformed by the renewing of your mind’ (Romans 12:2). He also taught the church at Corinth that we ‘are being transformed into the same (God’s) image from glory to glory’ (2 Corinthians 3:18). This transformation is the reason we are commissioned to preach the gospel of the Kingdom and make disciples of all nations.

Jesus not only gave us the Great Commission; he modeled it. In Luke 4:18 and 19 He announced His intent or His mission statement. The Father appointed and anointed Jesus to:

[1] Transform the Poor

Jesus came with a message of good news that gave hope to those in poverty. Where the gospel is received and people become converted, their lives are changed and the blessing of God ultimately transforms their situation.

[2] Transform the Broken-hearted

Jesus was sent to heal those people whose hearts and lives were broken. Healing brings lives back to health and wholeness.

[3] Transform the Captives

Jesus not only proclaimed freedom for those who are bound, He delivered them from their bondage and has empowered us to do the same.

[4] Transform the Blind

Not only does this mean physical blindness being healed, but the eyes of our hearts being opened. Jesus’ message included renewed vision for those who had lost the ability to see hope for the future.

[5] Transform the Downtrodden

Jesus brought liberty for those who have been crushed by the circumstances of life and damaging relationships. He has authorized us to do the same.

Our community programs and missions activities only have value and significance as vehicles for the transforming power of God to change lives, families and communities. As we go across Uganda or into our community, let’s allow the Spirit of God to lead us to bring transformation!
